Is Cacic becoming Milanovic's Budisa?

Radimir Cacic is arrogant, impolite, highly ambitious and aggressive. He is a thief and a road killer. If a person tumbles into Croatia by accident and meets a patchwork of regular grades on account of Radimir Cacic, he would probably think Cacic is some criminal refugee or psychopathic abuser, rather than a politician who works as a first Government vice-president involved in initiating investment cycle that should save Croatia from bankruptcy. From presented thesis of Radmir Cacic's work and character, a person couldn't possibly say that a destiny of the state depends on this man. Although, the things are really that way.

Along with Slavko Linic, Cacic is the only member of Zoran Milanovic's team of ministers, who has knowledge, experience and courage necessary for handling piled problems. No minister involved in economy department has a part of his competence. No minister even has so many years of service that could make him say he knows what he is supposed to do. No minister can reach Cacic and Linic's level. When things really are the way they are, why is one of two main engines of the current executive repeatedly exposed to over-shelling and what does he even want to achieve by that?

No one re-questions Cacic's knowledge and efficiency, so people are discussing his character and house rules, like if it is important whether he has manners of a gentleman or a hillbilly for the job he handles. Besides, Cacic has never been a cuddly little lamb that could shock huge media and public expertise when he suddenly turned out to be a wolf. When you look at the prevailing media treatment Cacic is exposed to, it is hard not to assume that all areas, political as nonpolitical ones, are fighting a special war against him. It is completely understandable that the opposition is attacking him. Who else should they attack? But the worst thing is that Cacic is exposed to strikes (and strokes) coming from those who should support him. Cacic can be certain that he will experience same things in the coalition with Zoran Milanovic like Drazen Budisa did 12 year ago in the coalition with Ivica Racan. Even then SDP needed someone to blame and Budisa, as failed presidential candidate and strategy partner that didn't participate the executive, was an ideal target. SDP still needs someone to blame and someone to spit on. So failures of other SDP's ministers might seem as unimportant things compare to every flaw Cacic has. Cacic is ideal. He is an impulsive speaker, he doesn't indulge to public and he is loaded with a trial for a traffic accident in Hungary.

Informed sources claim that there was so much bitterness relating Cacic's arrogance, aggressiveness, disdains during the meeting of social democrats in Porec, behind the closed doors... He is taking over the entire Government, as they were complaining.  Since no one could say, of course, that the first Government vice-president doesn't know what he is doing. So critics must have thanked God that Cacic has so many inspirational characteristics as they have so much to talk and complain about during four years of his mandate. It's been a long time SDP's discreet sources occasionally launch a thesis that Cacic is the weakest chain of Kukuriku coalition. The main reason they say is a traffic accident he caused in Hungary, where two people had died. The newest story coming from political circles add that SDP's scouts discretely test the field to see what their chances are, in case they will need to terminate the coalition with HNS, for Croatian laborites becoming their parliamentary majority.

There was information last week that Cacic wrote a letter two months ago to the president of MOL administration Zsoltan Hernandi how he should be the one to communicate with over the case Ina, since he's been taking over all cases of the Government  vice-president for investments and the minister of economy. One legitimate, official correspondence, within the agreement with the PM Milanovic, was interpreted as Cacic's master plan to effect the Hungarian court over Hernandi so he could get a mild punishment or even be released out of guilt. It is not hard to imagine a fury of Hungarian judge who was accused for corruption in advance, since, if he gives Cacic a mild punishment, Croatia will interpret that verdict as a key impact of Hernandi's connections on the court. So the conclusion is - he must give Cacic a drastic sentence. And this could eventually result with Cacic leaving politics for good.

There are too many coincidences so that everything could be a coincidence. In other words, usually there are no coincidences in politics. The information about Cacic's letter and interpretation the letter was a strong element of Cacic deviously impact on Hungarian court was launched while having in mind the same goal as a thesis of Cacic's arrogance, indecency, aggressiveness.. And the worst thing for Cacic is that he can't be sure if the information was launched from his partners who wanted to add a patch to a patchwork of stories about Cacic being the greatest bad guy of ruling politics.

In order to understand, Cacic is his own enemy. As more they point out his arrogance, he becomes more and more arrogant. He had rough episodes like an attempt of appointing Srecko Ferencak to the surveillance board of Janaf despite Ferencaks's verdict for position and authority abuse. He neither had benefits from appointing HNS member Zlatko Kovacevic  the HEP director since Kovacevic has never worked in energetic field and he has tales of ugly affair relating purchase and failure of a furniture factory. However, this is all a little less relevant than the things he has to do in order to keep Croatia on its feet. And unlike the PM Milanovic, for example, who talks about the economy measures he is about to introduce as propositions that were suggested by Slavko Linic, or the minster of entrepreneurship Gordan Maras who promised 10 thousands new working positions in one-year period, although you can't see where his optimism is coming from, or Branko Grcic, the Government vice-president and economy strategist of SDP who talks about economic solutions based on economic theories, Radimir Cacic talks because he actually knows.

No matter if someone likes it or not, the fact that he knows what he is talking about makes him more persuasive and dominant if compared to others. If Cacic needs to be executed because of that, than the best thing for Milanovic would be to lock the doors of Banski dvori and to go home. Since no one will disturb him over there.
