Medak, who was in custody for little over a month, will be released on Thursday afternoon.
Investigating judge Davor Selina ruled that Ivan Medak, former head of Croatian Railroads Infrastructure Department (HZ), shall be released from custody along with Inatrade employees, Ivan Tomaskovic and Jozo Bazina.
The mentioned trio are lead suspects in Rudine train crash that killed six passengers.
We learned that suspects’ release was made because all of the witnesses, including Josip Palinic, a machinist who operated the train at the time of the accident, have been questioned.
We also find that Palinic has been in a difficult mental condition ever since the accident occurred. Medak, Tomackovic and Bazina were in custody for little over a month, and they should be released on Thursday afternoon, Slobodna Dalmacija reports.
