Jarnjak: Seks Will Not Withdraw

What withdrawing? He did not announce anything. With these words, HDZ Chief Secretary denied the statement of his party colleague

- Seks did not announce anything; you got it all wrong, all of you – ruling party chief secretary Ivan Jarnjak signalled to us, denying thus the announcement of Parliamentary Speaker and his party colleague, Vladimir Seks, who said he had enough of political life.

Who misunderstood Seks' statements?

but the question is exactly who misunderstood Seks' statement on withdrawal from the parliament, since in his interview to Novi list, he was rather clear and categorical when he announced his withdrawal.

Namely, he stressed that he in not irreplaceable, neither in the Parliament, nor in the party, and when directly asked by the journalist if he wanted another term of office, he said 'not really'.

- He is going to the elections with us – Jarnjak was clear, adding that in spite of this all, they do not discuss positions, but care about the forthcoming elections.

To the Constitutional Court or Retirement?

With this statement, Jarnjak refuted the speculation that the next destination of the Speaker after the elections is the Constitutional court. Namely, if Seks should opt for such a path, he must not participate in the electoral campaign of the ruling party.

However, if this leading partisan decides to stay in the party and not withdraw from politic, we cannot but wonder if HDZ could offer to him a satisfactory replacement for the current function, which will not be a big effort, in term of his health. Or will Seks give up, for the sake of his heart?
