According to the Serbian media, Jocic is charged with the criminal conspiracy and murder, which is why the judge ordered an investigation.
The investigating judge of the special court in Belgrade ordered that Sreten Jocic, aka Joca Amsterdam, be held in custody for 30 days, due to the suspicion that he organized the murder of Ivo Pukanic. The judge also ordered an investigation against Jocic, reports Tanjug.
Questioning of Jocic lasted all night
As we find out, the questioning of Joca Amsterdam that started on Wednesday around 9mp lasted until the morning hours on Thursday, after which he was brought to the Belgrade prison with a criminal report.
The hearing, as it was stated, an investigation against Jocic started at the request of the Serbian special attorney’s office for organized crime. He was ordered to be kept in custody because he is suspected to have ordered the murder of the owner of the Croatian weekly “Nacional” Ivo Pukanic and his associate Niko Franjic.
On Tuesday night Jocic was questioned by Belgrade’s police, where he rejected all suspicions to being linked to Pukanic’s murder.
According to the Serbian media, Jocic is being charged with criminal conspiracy and murder, and his arrest is considered to be the most significant police operation in the last few years in the battle against organized crime.
