Joca Amsterdam Ordered Pukanic Assassination

A mystery witness told investigators that Sreten Jocic hired Djuratovic and Matanic to assassinate Ivo Pukanic, Nacional writes.

ZAGREB, CROATIA - The murder of Nacional weekly co-founder Ivo Pukanic was ordered and organised by Sreten Jocic aka. Joca Amsterdam, claims a mystery witness whose testimony was attained by Pukanic`s Nacional weekly.

According to the weekly, a mystery witness has surfaced up in the inquest, who shared his information with the investigators. According to the witness, Jocic hired Slobodan Djuratovic and Robert Matanic for the murder, who has supposedly been planning the assassination for months. Nacional claims that they paid other criminals with Jocic`s money in this period, to execute the assassination.

Nacional co-founder Ivo Pukanic and the paper`s marketing director Niko Franjic were killed on October 23, 2008 in a bomb explosion set up in front of Nacional headquarters, in downtown Zagreb.

Supposedly, the mastermind of the operation was Djurovic, which has been a rumour for months. Djurovic and Jocic are close, they are even best men, while Matanic killed after Jocic`s orders in Bulgaria, the mystery witness said, Nacional writes.

Furthermore, the same person revealed many details to the police, which might shed some light on events from Bulgaria. According to the weekly, the testimony has been verified in court. The witness has previously not been mentioned in the course of the investigation.

The Nacional weekly adds that this new testimony is a great plus in the investigation, i.e. that the investigators can now take new steps, which would be to arrest the person who ordered Ivo Pukanic`s assassination.
