GUDOVAC, Sept 7 (Hina) - The revision of Croatia's outlook from negative to stable is a very good sign which shows that the international community has recognised that the government measures for overcoming the crisis are good, Croatian President Ivo Josipovic said on Friday after visiting the 20th international cattle fair in Gudovac near Bjelovar.
Asked if the revision of Croatia's credit rating would help Croatia promote its competitiveness, Josipovic said the revision itself would not solve problems, but that it was a good sign of optimism.
This is important and I can only extend my congratulates on the measures that have been taken, Josipovic said.
Fitch Ratings on Wednesday revised Croatia's outlook from negative to stable and affirmed its long-term foreign and local currency issuer default ratings at BBB- and BBB respectively.
