Kerum threatened: It’s time, if you do not resign

Split Mayor received a threat mail with a skull. It was send to his company’s address.

Zeljko Kerum, Mayor of Split, received a threat mail which arrived yesterday to his company's address, Kerum d.o.o.

- We cannot reveal the contents of the threat message, because it is currently the only operational detail we have in the investigation – Split police spokeswoman, Marina Kraljevic-Gudelj, said and added how the criminal claim against an unknown perpetrator has been raised yesterday.

However, according to unofficial sources the message contained words that said “It’s time. If you do not resign...”, followed by a drawing of a skull, Vecrnji List reports.

The person who sent the message signed it as ‘Not Ostojic’, the paper said.

Kerum received the first threat mail on February 25 and the message said “If you become mayor, your family will disappear”. It was signed as the Black Hand. Police filed a criminal complaint against unknown perpetrators in both complaints, but the State Attorney's Office rejected the application because there were no elements of threat.
