DEATH THREAT

Graffiti saying “Kill Sanader” turned up on a wall of the municipal court on Pag Island.
The graffiti on the municipal court building on Pag Island was removed and the damage is estimated at 500 kuna.
We asked Croatian politicians about their opinions of such a means of voicing opinions by the public.
Comments by members of opposition parties indicate that there is tolerance among Croatian parties, even with regards to death threats towards their political opponent.
-- This is impermissible. Idiots are everywhere and such threats should be condemned – said Zoran Milanovic of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), voicing denunciation of the graffiti on Pag.
Srecko Ferencak of the Croatian People’s Party (HNS) agrees with him, adding that the graffiti were close to a catastrophe.
-- We shall not kill each other, because that would not solve anything. We are a democratic party, and if Sanader is doing his job poorly, the issue should be resolved in elections, not by anonymous death threats – Ferencak said adamantly.
