Jadranka Kosor announced that as of next week the payment of debt to war veterans will begin, for which 187 million kuna were allocated this year.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Family, War Veterans and Intergeneration Solidarity, Jadranka Kosor, announced that on Monday 5 March, payment of debt to Croatian war veterans will begin.
The debt will be retuned according to the Law on Rights of Homeland War Veterans and the rights of their family members, passed in 2001, which refers to the period between 2003 to 2004. For the mentioned payment, 187 million kuna will be earmarked.
So far the Ministry has paid out 255 million kuna of this debt for the previous period.
