Kostelic, Jelusic and Fleiss were selling tickets for Snow Queen Trophy

The Croatian skiing sport stars Janica Kostelic, Ana Jelusic and Nika Fleiss were selling tickets for Sljeme race at Cvjetni square today. All the money from selling goes to charity – it is for helping the children’s hospital in Gornja Bistra.

- I am disappointed with the numbers. There are a lot of people here spending money on different things and only some of them decided to give 25, 60 or 100 HRK for the tickets for Snow Queen race and in that way to help these poor children. Only when you visit the hospital in Bistra you realize that in fact we haven’t got any problems although our own problems sometimes seem big. Luckily we have sponsors in our Ski Association so the donation will be appropriate.

Our ski stars played with kids. They were surrounded by people who wanted to touch them, shake hands or wanted an autograph. Nevertheless, only a small number of people bought the tickets.

- It seems that people don’t realize how close the race is. Everyone is occupied with Christmas shopping so that’s probably the reason of small interest – Ana Jelusic concluded.

Jelusic also added that she got the information about parallel-slalom cancellation. This event was planned for the 1^st January in Munich.
