Lectures Will Be Held At Alternative Locations

Following the decision regarding the third week of the bloc, Zagreb University has secured classrooms and halls in eight locations.

Leadership of the Zagreb University has secured some 30 classrooms and halls in eighth locations throughout Zagreb for lectures of the Faculty of Philosophy, after the students of this faculty decided to continue blocking studies for the third week running, Zagreb University announced on Tuesday.

- In accordance with the Senate`s decision from April 30, 3009, the leadership of Zagreb University, n collaboration with  suitable university branches, has secured some 30 classrooms and halls in eighth locations throughout Zagreb for lectures of the Faculty of Philosophy – the announcement reads.

Several other possible locations for lectures to take place are being looked into, the announcement continues, singed by University of Zagreb Rector Aleksa Bjelis.

Students of the Faculty of Philosophy will decide at tonight`s plenum whether they will obstruct lectures at alternative locations as well.

Two weeks ago, students took over the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb, demanding free education for everyone, thus spurring student protest across Croatia.
