We will continue work on the interior. The heaters have started to heat, we will complete the approach stands, announced Ingra’s director.
If everything goes according to plan, according to which Zagreb’s handball Arena should be finished on December 15, this is the last tour by the mayor to the construction site of the Area. The second last time he toured the grandstands, hall and boiler room.
“There have been some misunderstandings around the completion of the construction. There are no delays. There is no problem or reason to rush” said Milan Bandic, and denied his deputy Ivo Jelusic’ statements for the third time.
As he says, the priority of all those involved is the completion of the Arena on time.
“Construction takes place 16 hours a day, the rain is no longer falling, the roof has been tested. In two weeks time we should drink coffee and toast with champagne” said the mayor with a smile.
Unlike the happy mayor, the director on the construction company Ingra, Igor Oppenheim, explained more realistically what the workers will face this week on the construction of the Arena.
“Until the next tour we will be carrying out work on the interior. The heating network has already started to heat, and we have to make the approach stands and the whole environment” explained Oppenheim.
Bandic added in the end that at the organization committee meeting, they will decide about covering the extra expenses of organizing the European Handball Championship. The City of Zagreb will participate in the organization with the amount that is agreed upon by the committee, announced the mayor.
