Ministry of Foreign Affairs Starts an Open Line on EU
Calling the free telephone line in February, citizens will be able to find out more about the European Union and which changes would happened in Croatia by being a member of the EU.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is gathering bids from aplicants for the service. An amount of 8.8 million kuna from the national budget for informing about European integration is meant for starting a voice portal that would be available for all citizens in February.
According to the ‘Novi list’ daily, a great deal of money will be earmarked for maintaining national forums and talks about real issues about negotiations, which will be held every three or four weeks.
At the same time, the ministry finances announcements in media and some special programmes like ‘Croatia and EU’ on Radio Trsat, and ‘Euromagazin’ and ‘The EU Alphabet’ which are broadcast at on national Croatian Television.
