According to the agreement, those offering must have a plan for restructuring, recapitalisation and investment in technological renewal.
ZAGREB, CROATIA - The vice-president of the Cabinet and Minister of the Economy, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Damir Polancec, is still negotiating with the shipbuilder unions.
The cabinet has reached an agreement with five shipbuilders, and the final text of the competition will be sent to Brussels in order to reach an agreement as soon as possible.
“We will send the competition to Brussels, in order to get an answer by January 9, and announced the text of the competition by January 20” says Polancec.
According to the agreement, every bidder will have to give a 5 year takeover plan, and that plan will include restructuring, recapitalization and have a plan on investing in technological renewal.
The debts to the banks will be taken by the state, and everybody will be able to make an offer, and those that plan on continuing the trade will have an advantage.
“For each shipbuilder, a committee will be founded from the shipbuilder unions, and unions of manager representatives that will specially analyse each offer” said Polancec.
