The minister of foreign and European affairs Vesna Pusic met the minister of foreign affairs for the The Kingdom of the Netherlands, Uri Rosenthal, as the Croatian ministry reported. A main discussion over meeting was an importance of Croatia fulfilling obligations, the minister Rosenthal announced that the Netherlands would initiate a debate considering ratification of the access agreement with the European Union by the end of this year, but only after positive results on monitoring.
- The Netherlands will enforce all monitoring mechanisms in Croatia. It will take a special insight of the chapter 23 relating justice system, Rosenthal said. He added that other important things are chapters of market competiveness, as the chapters on freedom and security.
The minister Pusic sees compatibility in stands between Croatia and the Netherlands considering supervision of obligations fulfillment.
