Nevenka Becic claims it is impossible to replace her brother

Nevenka Becic, the member of the Croatian civil party of her brother Zeljko Kerum and a coalition partner with HDZ, made comments about the situation with HDZ of Split and replacement of the mayor Kerum. She said that HDZ of Splits created a circus to amuse public. She thinks it is impossible to replace the mayor of Split, tportal reports.

''They know it is impossible to replace the mayor, even with a referendum – it is impossible to collect enough signatures since the Split citizens are supporting Zeljko Kerum'' claims Becic. She added that they were elected by direct voting of the citizens, and those HDZ members were appointed by the party itself.

She added she had never been interested in politics, but she would have done things as Zeljko Kerum wanted.

She said her amendments around VAT were accepted at the Board for the budget and that she was very proud of that. He emphasizes that this Government is very cooperative. ''I give them my support and want them to succeed'', claims Becic.

However, she adds that the coalition with HDZ is still tight no matter if she supports the new Government since the citizens gave them trust and that's why she wants them to succeed.
