ZAGREB, Sept 17 (Hina) - Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic on Monday received the newly-appointed German Ambassador to Croatia, Hans-Peter Annen, for talks on cooperation and the role of cities in the development of regions, Bandic's office said in a statement.
Ambassador Annen was quoted as saying that he was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and safety of Zagreb where he will stay over the next four years.
The two officials also talked about a Christmas tree which Zagreb will donate to Berlin as a gift for this year's Christmas holidays.
