58 fans were detained, among them 44 Dinamo Bad Blue Boys. 13 fans will face charges for public disturbance.
The day after the derby at Maksimir stadium, communal company Cistoca and Zagreb tram company ZET are assessing the damage.
Four damaged buses, five trams, and a pile of garbage around the Maksimir stadium are the result of the derby that took place two days ago.
ZET is satisfied
- Thanks to the police and their good organization, I am pretty satisfied with the result of the game. The few broken glasses and bumpers have already been fixed. The trams and buses have already been repaired and are functioning again – said Mr. Drago Maric, the ZET chief executive for traffic.
58 fans detained
- Fifty-eight fans were detained, among them forty-four members of the Dinamo Bad Blue Boys and fourteen members of the Hajduk Torcida. As many as thirteen of them will face charges for public disturbance and, for fourteen fans, we will be seeking a ban on the attendance of Dinamo and the Croatian national team matches – said Marijan Tomurad, head of the Zagreb Police Department.
Routine job for Cistoca
While talking to Mr. Pintaric, assistant director for operational and technical work, we found out that public communal company Cistoca suffered next to no damage.
- This is routine work for us, so we increased the number of workers and cisterns and almost nothing was out of the ordinary. Unlike ZET, we are lucky that our equipment is neither as exposed nor as interesting.
It seems that, unlike in previous years, this derby went rather quietly, as they say in the city communal companies and in the police force.
We have also asked citizens how they feel about it.
