Croatia’s state leaders are satisfied with reports and laws Croatia has realised and they are full of praise of competent bodies.
ZAGREB, CROATIA - - Olli Rehn’s initiative did not arrive to us officially, so we will state our opinion about it when it does – Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said after a meeting of the National Security Council, commenting on Rehn’s proposal that the European Union takes part in solving border issues between Croatia and Slovenia.
Asked by a reported whether the prime minister will seek consensus of parties in resolving the issue, Sanader said:
- Of course, the president and I will agree on a way how to function.
But after the meeting, which lasted for an hour and a half, there were no other news. President Stjepan Mesic, Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and Parliament Speaker Luka Bebic jointly agreed that they are satisfied with the reports and laws Croatia has passed. They were full of praise of competent bodies to whom they congratulated on a job well done.
- I commend competent bodies for doing their job well and with regards to security – Mesic said.
On the other hand, Sanader stressed that the National Security Strategy will be finished by June and from this Strategy, two more will be drawn up which should be completed by two years’ time.
In the end the prime minister stressed that the Office for the Prevention of Money Laundering will still function within the Finance Ministry.
