The Panama 80.6 meters long ship ‘’Alfa Dragon’’ stranded on the island of Brac around 6 o’clock while trying to pass through the Seagate of Split.
There were 14 members of a crew on the boat and 3150 tons of salt in the moment of the accident. The boat was navigated from the Italian Porto Empedoci towards the Split’s harbor. The ship has been stranded on the right side and has leaned around four degrees. The water didn’t penetrate in the storage rooms but there is a doubt that there is some water in the double bottom of the ship.
The sea hasn’t been polluted but the security measures seek for the installment of the protection barriers around the ship. The investigation of the place of the accident has been done by the inspectors of Harbor Master Split, as the Ministry of the Sea, Transportation and Infrastructure reported.
