MILANOVIC’S ANNOUNCEMENTS

Text
Ljubo Jurcic is certain that the announcement of the clean situation in SDP was not directed at him, but does not know about Milan Bandic.
- In order to go forward seriously, from autumn this year we must have a clean situation. First of all amongst ourselves, in order to have support from the citizens – said the leader of the SDP (Social Democratic Party) Zoran Milanovic. He said this at his introductory speech at a general meeting of SDP. He later justified the statement by explaining that SDP has to define their programs and the people that will lead those programs, but there were SDP members who did not believe this.
- If you think that it concerned me, my status in the party is clean. That statement might have something to do with that letter – said SDP party member Ljubo Jurcic. Remember, a group of public workers announced that they would send a letter to Milanovic about the situation in Zagreb, about the misuse of public services, from shady business with land to corruption. They call upon Zagreb’s mayor Milan Bandic and his associates that, as they claim, ignore that and have not done anything concrete to correct it.
Other SDP members did not hear that sentence by Milanovic, but they are certain that the president of the party did not announce “cleaning” out party members in SDP.
Pancic: “Cleaning” would be harmful to SDP before the local elections
Milanka Opacic immediately answered that the clean situation was referring to creating a list for the local elections next year.
Ivica Pancic also does not expect any cleaning to take place in SDP, but does not know if Milanovic was maybe thinking about Bandic. He added that cleaning would be harmful to SDP before the local elections.
Davorko Vidovic said that he is certain that the party leader meant cleaning the situation on the candidate lists, and that the comments that relating to Bandic were taken out of context. He added that the general meeting passed in a calm, routine and unanimous manner.
