Pensioners To Receive Right For Compensation

Croatian Party of Pensioners is satisfied with government`s decision according to which another 43,000 pensioners will be compensated.

-Thanks to the current government, to each pensioner the compensation towards the state has been individualised- said the Croatian Party of Pensioners (HSU) president Vladimir Jordan.

Pensioners who decide on the faster payment model should receive the first rate in the first half of the current year, and the other rate in the second half.

-In case everyone decides for the full amount payment, Retirement fund must ensure 1.4 million kuna- explained HSU representative Silvano Hrelja.

During this year HSU will try to change the Pension Insurance Law in order to alter the position of pensioners who retired after January 1, 1999.

Namely, their pension lags behind 34 percent after older pensioners, i.e. those who retired before 1999.
