PHOTO: Attorney Zvonimir Hodak’s Daughter Killed

A little after 11 o’clock on Monday morning, attorney Zvonimir Hodak’s daughter was killed in Zagreb.

ZAGREB, CROATIA – As was confirmed to us by Zagreb police, the daughter of attorney Zvonimir Hodak was killed in Zagreb.

Ivana Hodak was killed a little after 11 o'clock on Monday in front of her home, after being shot twice in the head. She died in the ambulance.

Ivana was 26 years old and worked for her father's law firm. She was the only daughter of attorney Zvonimir Hodak and former Croatian vice-premier Ljerka Mintas-Hodak.

Passers-by told reporters that an unmasked man, aged between 30 and 35, dressed in a grey jacket, ran out of the building in which Ivana Hodak was killed at around 11am. He ran towards Zagreb’s main Ban Jelacic Square. A witness said he did not hear any gun shots.

Forensic teams are currently working the scene, taking fingerprints from the doors and collecting evidence.

Police Commissioner: All Forces Looking for Killer

Zvonimir Hodak was not available for comment, nor is attorney Ljubo Pavasovic Viskovic with whom Ivana was in a relationship and with whom she travelled to Amsterdam on Thursday where she spent the weekend.

Zvonimir Hodak is currently defending retired Croatian General Vladimir Zagorec who has been accused of stealing five million dollars worth of diamonds that were given as collateral to the Croatian Defence Ministry for the purchase of weapons for the defence of Croatia.

Today Zvonimir Hodak filed an appeal on Zagorec’s detention and investigation. Earlier Hodak demanded special accommodation for his client for, as they claimed, fear of Zagorec’s life.
