ZAGREB, CROATIA – As the sun hid behind clouds, many Zagreb citizens chose to go out regardless.
Their mandatory accessory were sunglasses and most girls decided on large ones with dark glass.
Another spring downtown showed that Zagreb Downtowners had greeted the new season, well prepared. And as some girls revealed their long legs, showing off all the hours in the gym during the winter, others still chose to wear boots at CVJETNI SQUARE or TKALCICEVA STREET.
Cafes were crawling with people and everywhere an extra chair was needed. The visit of US President George Bush made very little difference to any normal Saturday in Zagreb.
But, Bush was the main topic this Saturday, while a small protest at Cvjetni Square created quite a background. Some Downtowners even signed a large post card addressed to Bush, reading: “Don`t come back!”.
But, regardless of political events, the main attraction in the streets of Zagreb were still its wonderful girls.
