Red Bull X Fighters, the world tour of motorcyclists that battle gravity took the breath away from 2,000 citizens of Zagreb.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Red Bull X Fighters, a world group of motorcyclists that fight gravity visited Zagreb. For an hour, two thousand spectators enjoyed the performances of four experienced motocross masters at Tomislav Square.
The cyclists performed stunts on a scene made up of two elements: the kicker and the landing.
Instead of two series of twenty minutes, the x-fighters gave the Zagreb audience another series, despite the string wind, which made their jumps even more exciting.
Jimmy Verbaurgh from Belgium, Steven Stuyven from Belgium, Morgan Carlson from Sweden and Nick Franklin from New Zealand thrilled the spectators when, before the last series of jumps, they put on them red and white chequered shirts with their names written on the back, honouring the Croatian national football team which was playing against Ukraine in a World Cup qualifier that evening.

In the breaks between the series, the four x-fighters patiently answered to reporters’ questions.
New Zealand’s Nick Franklin, 29, told us that he has so far had about two dozen grave injuries and bone fractures, but the adrenalin and his love for motocross keeps him coming back.
- The love for motocross is great and I can live great from this job because Red Bull pays for everything, so even the fractures hurt less and in the end, I don’t have to ask mum for allowance – Franklin said jokingly.
The x-fighters have 13 promotional performances in five big competition arenas in a period of seven months. The Exhibition Tour started in Egypt.
As part of the promotion of the world tour, the x-fighters visited Belgrade, Sarajevo and after Zagreb they will perform in Maribor.
The Red Bull X-Fighters were founded eight years ago as freestyle motorcyclists who defeat gravity and leave the audiences breathless.
