The police have so far interviewed 150 persons in the Ivana Hodak murder inquest.

ZAGREB, CROATIA – Police have been guarding the entrance to the Hodak residence the entire morning and nobody apart from the tenants and close friends wasallowed into the building.

Passers by came to pay their respects to Ivana Hodak, who was murdered in downtown Zagreb yesterday in broad daylight, lighting candles and pausing for a moment. At 13 hours, Ivana`s parents, Zvonimir and Ljerka Mintas Hodak, exited the building, escorted by the police, and entered a black police car.

So far, the police have interviewed 150 persons in the Ivana Hodak murder inquest, police chief Dubravko Novak said today, pointing out that the intense search continues, with experts from other police departments joining in.

Novak said that the Centre of Criminal Expertise is analysing all traces taken from the crime scene where the 26-year-old girl was murdered.

- We are trying to perform the investigation at a fast and quality pace, in order to find the perpetrator of this severe offence as soon as possible – Novak said.

He reminded that a specially assembled team was working on the criminal investigation of this felony.

Ivana Hodak, the daughter of Zagreb attorney Zvonimir Hodak who defends retired Croatian general Vladimir Zagorec, among others, and former Croatian cabinet member Ljerka Mintas Hodak, was brutally murdered on Monday morning at the stairs of her apartment in central Zagreb, with two shots: one in the temple and the other in the neck.
