She added that the investigation is under way, and that a judge from the County Court in Zagreb is at the scene, as well as the deputy County State Attorney, and a crime scene team.

According to witnesses from the gold shop in Margaretska Street, four shots from a firearm could be heard. According to unofficial information, a worker from the gold shop “Zagreb”, Ivica. According to unofficial information, Branko Mijic worked with the murdered Dino Pokrovec, and is the owner of the car salon “Auto Mijic”.

According to statements that were given to net.hr by a relative of the gold shop’s owner, Kristo Gjerga, the loan shark Mijic had already taken away goldsmith Ivica I.’s house and property.

Unofficial sources revealed that the loan shark entered the gold shop at around 2:20pm and sought money from Ivica I. again. After Ivica said that he had no money, Branko threatened that he will take the gold then, and that the worker should explain himself to the boss then.

Ivica I. then took out a pistol and shot the loan shark, and as we unofficially find out, this was in front of the owner of the gold shop, who needed medical assistance due to shock. The pistol that was used by Ivica I. was found at the scene of the crime.

The police blocked Margaretska Street from Ilica Street to the Oktogon passageway.
