ZAGREB, CROATIA – On occasion of Victory Day, Homeland Thanksgiving Day, and Croatian Defenders Day, the high state and Zagreb city delegation laid wreaths and lit candles in Mirogoj cemetery in Zagreb.
The delegation paid tribute to the Memorial Wall of Pain, to the central cross in Croatian Defenders Alley, on the grave of the first Croatian president, Dr Franjo Tudjman, and on the common grave of unidentified victims of the Croatian War of Independence at crematorium.
The cabinet’s delegation was led by Minister Marina Matulovic-Dropulic and Minister Branko Vukelic, the parliamentary delegation by the deputy president of parliament, Neven Mimica, and the City of Zagreb’s delegation was led by the mayor, Milan Bandic. Also director of police, the chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, Josip Lucic, and Hrvoje Cvitanovic, from the President’s Office, paid tribute.
The general staff of the Defenders Organisation of the Croatian War of Independence laid wreaths and lit candles in Mirosevac and Mirogoj.
