Former minister of science and education announced his own presidential candidacy for Pantovčak. He's resolute and bursting with confidence

As the new week went on, so were the new events in the wide spectre of the presidential candidacies for the Pantovčak. One had an impression that never in the history of Croatia - there wasn't such an incursion to the position of the Chief commander of all the Croats. - The last one of the candidates, if judged by the announcement date, is Dragan Primorac, former minister of science, education and sports.

- From this day onwards, nothing will ever be the same – disclosed on Monday resolute Primorac. He announced the presidential candidacy in the Zagreb's Westin Hotel. In his own address he emphasized he's going to enter the "fight" by all possible marketing means that the world can learn from the United States.

In fact, at the very entrance to the Hotel, Primorac walked down the row of young people which was enthusiastically waiving their banners. The Croatian state hymn, "Our Fair Country" was performed by some of the most popular singers in the last decade, sisters Maria and Ivana Husar.

In his opening speech, new presidential candidate was introduced by the actor Vedran Mlikota, also a great friend of the former minister.

- Let's change Croatia together -

- In five years time the corruption in Croatia will enter the oblivion and you'll be nothing but proud over your president - disclosed the former minister of education adding that " such a small nation without education cannot really stand any chances anyway -

As the official biography of this presidential candidate states it, Dragan Primorac is a Croatian doctor, paeditrician, forensic, genetist and an ordinary court expert witness. Born on June 7th 1965 in Banja Luka.

From the early childhood Primorac lives in Split, where he finished elementary and secondary school. He graduated from the Zagreb University, Medical University of Split in 1991. He defended his doctoral thesis in 1997. at the Medical University of Zagreb.

Following the medical specialisation in the United States he returns to Croatia on December 23rd, 2003. where for another six years he will be appointed the minister of science, education and sports of Republic of Croatia.

- If you care to change Croatia, please follow my lead – Primorac sent out an invitation adding he's proud of all of his own friends.

As for him, he himself starts from the independent candidate position for HDZ candidate is already well known – dr. Andrija Hebrang.

Therefore, the largest Croatian party, besides its own opposition adversary now even has its very own "prodigal son", so to speak. But, still no one can predict the outcome to the presidential run as much as the new candidates to join the race eventually.
