Professor Buhac analyses the ears and faces of the future mayors of Zagreb, Osijek, Dubrovnik and Split, to reveal their nature.

Does the thickness and length of the ear reveal the better candidate for mayor? It does, considers professor Ljiljana Buhac, a trainer of communication skills and consultations from Physiognomy. Physiognomy is the assessment of a person's character or personality from their outer appearance, especially the face. The frequent guest of television shows in which they analyse communication skills and messages of the politicians, analysed for Javno.com that faces of the competitors for mayor in Osijek, Zagreb, Dubrovnik and Split. Which people stand behind fixed political speeches, smiles and performances? Who are we really voting for? All information that sheds light onto this area is welcome help for the voters.

Bandic’s big, Kregar’s minimal ear lobe

The candidates that are battling in the second round of the local elections for mayor of Zagreb are Josip Kregar and the current mayor Milan Bandic. Both of them have bags under their eyes.

“However, with Kregar they are like white bags, they show fatigue, and there is a problem of stiffness in the lower part of the back” says professor Buhac.

Bandic has ordinary bags under his eyes, which show only stress and tiredness, and near his eyes there are three wrinkles which reveal that a person who has the will for intensive events is in question. The combination of the wrinkles of his forehead along with his eyes say that he is a person who wants to control everything.

“These type of people are great leaders and conquerors. Take a look, he has eyebrows which show he is an aggressive person, and he wears a beard, which is some sort of protection and shows his will for power. The shape of his face shows that a person is in question which does not have leniency towards the demands of others. He is a traditionalist, he is adventurous, and has a developed lower ear, the ear lobe. Such people like the company of women, sweet pleasure above all and walks in ‘other people’s yards’, which is not foreign to them. This is why I say: “Women, be careful!”. A nose with large nostrils characterises a person who has the ability of doing multiple things at once. These are independent people who like to depend on themselves more than others. He has slightly lowered eyelids, so called sleepy eyes, which say that he is a visionary” says professor Buhac about Bandic’s face.

The horizontal lines on the mayor’s face show that he does not ear in moderation, that he eats too much oils and salty foods, that he is under stress and is concerned. Moreover, says Buhac, Bandic has more than three horizontal lines which shows that he spends lots of time on details.

Kregar’s ears, according to his opinion, show that his academic career was an excellent choice, and he nearly does not have sexual ear lobes. The whole upper ear shows that a very intellectually active person is in question, and the light separation from the head is interpreted as being a person with firm stances.

“Those ears say that he enjoys working with academic work. These people are sensitive and are not prone to bodily adventures, are not very energetic, but they are stubborn and unrelenting. He has a slightly larger nose, which is characterises the best leaders in the business world. His chin is stressed, which reveals a person who achieves the best in their career and becomes influential in their company. His eyebrows say that he is a person who does not give up easily. I think that it is hard to work with him as a team player” concludes Buhac about Kregar.

Suica does not choose her means, Vlahusic has fixed stances

In Dubrovnik, the voters must choose between Andro Vlahusic, who has a square face, and Dubravka Suica, with an inverse triangle face, which is interpreted as a wild, spontaneous and unrestrained person.

“These people are undisciplined, they are known to be sarcastic and sneaky, and are gifted. According to the shape of her eyebrows, we can say that she has low self confidence, even though she sends a totally different message to the public. She has stressed cheeks which show that emotional peaks and falls are dominant in her. She has a hard time hiding and controlling her feelings. She should eat less fatty foods, because her nose is shiny because of it. Her small nostrils say that she could be dependant on others when a decision has to be made. Her lips are pale, which shows that she occasionally lacks vitality and is losing strength. Sometimes those people have a fall of concentration when small brown spots appear on their lips, and at such moments they can make the wrong decisions. Then these people can be very insecure, concerned and pessimistic. Of course, then they show their insecurity through aggressiveness. People who have raised eyebrows like Mrs. Suica are ambitious, in love and war everything is allowed, they know how to grab a good opportunity, they know how to keep it and will not choose the means. They can be untactful with others, they erupt easily and like to take it out on others. They do not know how to manage a job and they take too much work for themselves” said Buhac about the mayor of Dubrovnik, Suica.

Her rival has a face of a very organized person that you can lean on.

“However, Vlahusic has one large problem, and that is that he has set stances and views on life. Such people rarely change, they find it hard to accept opinions that are different from his, they do not let events unfold by themselves, he is persistent, which is why he is a candidate for mayor for the fourth time, and above all is inflexible. The middle level of his forehead is developed, which shows that he is prone to social and humanitarian work. My advice to him is: better to be a doctor than a politician. He has a straight nose, which shows that he makes friends easily, that he is indecisive, but a good friend and lover” says professor Buhac.

Bubalo’s wide lips, Djapic’s narrow

According to professor Buhac, the characteristics of the candidate for mayor of Osijek, Kresimir Bubalo, are ideal for a politician.

“He is the manager type, very proactive, stable, is often oversensitive, cheeky, but has nerve and shows it when he is not happy. He finds it hard to synchronise his mind and body, so a spread of energy occurs, which can be seen by his thin hair. Such people are nervous in company, emotionally restrained, and artistic. They enjoy the company of women, take a look at his meaty ear lobe, it hangs nearly like an earring, but such men will never take the initiative. If a woman likes him and he is her sexual object, she will have to make the moves. He has a brake, his ear is slightly separated from his head, so his wife can be safe. He will never turn in that direction unless a girl attacks him. His eyes are happy, clear and cheeky. His lips are long, and those people are hard working and responsible people, who intend to finish their work. He has larger nostrils, and he is close to having a nose for business. He knows where the money is and where to withdraw it” says professor Buhac.

He then makes an unforgiving analysis of his competitor, Ante Djapic. Buhac is obviously bothered by his weight. As he says, he could have a perfect face but with a lot less kilograms.

“He has an oval face. He is manoeuvrable but very sluggish, impulsive, with changing moods and stances. His lips reveal that he is stubborn and he wants to be independent. His whole impression shows that he in concentrated on himself and his career, which means he eliminates everything that can threaten him. Even when you look at their bodies, Bubalo is a lot more manoeuvrable and has a more acceptable body for the eyes. He constantly cuts his hair short because he wants to leave an impression of a manly and aggressive person, and behind that surface is a very timid person. He has large ears, which means that he could live long if he takes care of himself. Looking at his ears, he is a person of great sexuality, but luckily for his wife, that sexuality will remain in their house, because he has smaller lips, and that means that he will not get around because he is not skilled at adventures” says Buhac.

Ostojic has a short fuse, Kerum’s problems are in communication

The first thing to notice is the red edges of Ranko Ostojic’s ears. This can be interpreted as being a person with a very short fuse, so he has to have strong self control not to explode.

“Take a look at how big that nose is” That is not a nose for business, but it means big ambitions, the need for action, and large nostrils mean he is a narcissistic person. Such people definitely want power, and this is shown by his hair which is receding at the edges of his forehead. He is a exclusive person, and I think his ideal job would be in the police. He knows how to lead and manage a job, but firstly he must be at the top because he wants power.

According to the development of his ears, his strong side is communication. He has a developed face, with stronger cheeks, so he likes control, discipline and has strong will. He is great for a police officer” says Buhac.

The “weak” ear in the middle reveals that Zeljko Kerum has problems with communication, but has a large meaty ear lobe, which is larger than Bandic’s but smaller than Bubalo’s, which shows he likes pleasure.

“He has nothing specially developed on his ear. His intellect is not specially stressed, and communication – nothing! These type of people want to be dominant, they are generous, self aware, vain, and his large and clear eyes show his passion. He has small eyelashes, which shows that he is a person which knows how to control their temperament. He does not have a nose for business, but knows how to use common sense and good logic. They are heavy people, with firm habits, who are programmed, want to be noticed in society in any way. This is why he has the hair that makes up for the lack of personality in order to attract attention with it. People with such hair have a vivid imagination and potentially creative spirit, which is often linked to sexual vitality” says Buhac about Kerum.
