SPLIT, CROATIA – Mercury in the thermometer, which reached 32 degrees Celsius in Split, lured out only a few people for a walk around the city, lunch or some shopping.
Those who had to go down to the scorching Waterfront or Marmont Street, mostly decided to put on
light-coloured garments, mostly white, which was appropriate protection from the mid-day sun rays, next to mandatory sunglasses, hats and mules. To avoid possible temperature shocks and dry mouths, Split citizens carried water bottles, just to be on the safe side.
City bathing areas started filling up and there were some who could not resist the sea and lacking a swim suit, performed their first bathing of the year in their clothes.
You can see Split Waterfront at 32 degrees in the PHOTOGALLERY.
