DOWNTOWN ZAGREB
APRIL 26 2009 15:31h
Every girl in downtown Zagreb wanted to be noticed, so they walked around proudly, wearing colourful combinations.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Colourful, fun and varying, just like the spring – this would be a good
description of downtown Zagreb on Saturday.
Prints on t-shirts were this week’s refreshment and uncovered legs, bellies or shoulders could be seen at every step. Girls who did not have faith in the fickle Zagreb weather carried jackets under their arms.
The legendary Ugg boots are still refusing to be stored away in shoe cabinets, so many girls could be seen wearing them. Despite the planetary popularity of Ugg boots, it seems another kind of boots managed to make their way to Zagreb’s centre: rubber boots of various colours and designs. But just how attractive women’s legs in rubber boots are is very questionable. We still prefer high heels and sandals.
Thanks to the sun, the more shy downtowners could hide behind their sunglasses. Judging by the smiles on the faces of the girls this Saturday, the downtowners were happy because of the warm weather, but also because they could finally get their coffee and their weekly dose of gossip on any of the outdoor terraces of numerous cafes in the capital’s centre.
