DOWNTOWN VS. DOWNTOWN
MARCH 29 2009 13:14h
Downtown in Zagreb had everything because of frivolous, but warm weather, from coats to short sleeves, with one mandatory thing-sunglasses.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Although rain and sunshine took terms these last few days, beautiful girls in Downtown Zagreb welcomed warmer weather. With first sunrays, they took a walk wearing spring combinations which they bought at one of many sales last year.
A mandatory detail were sunglasses which covered the girls` ship-shape eyelashes.
Frivolous weather made it possible for passers by in Cvjetni Square to enjoy various outfits from trench coats to leather jackets, coats or sleeveless jackets.
Although the winter and temperatures below zero are well behind us, many girls decorated their combinations with scarves in various colours.
Wind decorates Tkalciceva Street
Additionally swirly Tkalciceva Street was ready to welcome high and medium heels, as well as flat shoes on the feet of Downtowners in a good mood. Even though unpredictable weather dictated the clothes which suit both winter and spring conditions, Zagreb girls were quick to adapt.
A layered outfit was the winning combination, which is something experienced Downtowners know as clouds and sunshine take turns in the sky. With a matching handbag, the impression is complete.
There was everything in Downtown Zagreb – jeans, skirts, short T-shirts, long shirts, scarves, jumpers, jackets, boots, Old Star tennis shoes… The wind additionally decorated every outfit, as it mixed the colours of the girls` combinations. A slight frown could be spotted on a few faces, because the dull wind kept destroying their hairstyles.
The only person not affected by the wind was the statue of Croatian writer Marija Juric Zagorka, who took the weather as calm as a tin soldier, patiently observing all the passers by in her long skirt and an umbrella in her hand.
