The new chief prosecutor estimated Croatia’s cooperation with The Hague Tribunal as successful and complete.
ZAGREB, CROATIA - During his first business visit to Croatia, the new Hague chief prosecutor, Serge Brammertz, met with the Justice minister, Ana Lovrin. The heir of Carla del Ponte estimated Croatia’s cooperation with The Hague Tribunal as successful and complete, and he believes that it will continue to be so. The Hague’s spokeswoman, Olga Kavran, added that the new Hague prosecutor is planning to visit Serbia, but the date is still unknown.
The meeting was also attended by the Hague chief investigator, Patrick Lopez Kerres, by the chief prosecutor’s closes co-operators and by the representatives of the component body of Croatia. They mainly discussed open questions on cooperation between Croatian and The Hague Tribunal and on how to solve them.

Minister of justice Ana Lovrin was satisfied with the verdict of the new head prosecutor and she stressed that she was given support in order to bring in justice to all Hague defendants, aiming at not leaving war crimes unpunished.
- We revisited Croatia’s cooperation with The Hague Tribunal, our work was surmised as successful and complete. We discussed open issues on the trials which are being carried out and we also confirmed our readiness to hand over documentation from the Croatian state body – satisfied minister Ana Lovrin stated.
