ZAGREB, CROATIA - The Croatian police have confirmed that they have received the news about Ante Jelavic’s disappearance. However, the police directorate’s report states that they still cannot comment on the many media speculations about the motive and way he disappeared.
Besides that, they stressed that the police in Croatia are intensively communicating with the police in the Federation of Bosnia Herzegovina, with the aim of determining all of the circumstances relating to Jelavic’s disappearance.
However, as Javno unofficially finds out, the former Croatian member of the Presidency of Bosnia Herzegovina Ante Jelavic was kidnapped close to his apartment in Zagreb, in front of the International hotel. Allegedly the kidnappers intercepted him whilst he was returning to his apartment in Miramarska Street. Jelavic allegedly called his wife around 9pm and told her that the kidnappers are seeking one million euros.
