Police Department announced a warrant for Dusan Cupac, the prime suspect in the murder of Aleksandar Abramov.
Police Department of Primorje-Gorski County announced a warrant for Dusan Cupac, the prime suspect for the murder of a 23-year-old Aleksandar Abramov.
Cupac is suspected that in the night from Friday to Saturday he killed a 23-year-old electrical engineering student who stood in a fast-food line.
Police determined that the conflict between the three suspects and Abramov, broke out after a verbal argument, when he was physically attacked by three men.
Abramov tried to escape but was caught on the Square of St. Barbara where he was beaten to death. The attackers fled after the incident and left him on the ground.
During the investigation and search of the suspects’ apartments, police found the clothes they wore during the attack, and the traces which undoubtedly link them to the murder. Of these three only a 24-year-old has the police record and the other two had no previous arrests.
He died of suffocating in his own blood
Department of Forensic Medicine found that the victim suffocated in his own blood due to severe head injuries. Results of an autopsy showed that the first hit, which broke the victim’s nose, was a fatal blow which caused his subsequent death.
Besides Cupac, arrest warrants have been issued for the 21-year-old Darijo Cupac, and the 24-year-old Darijo Savic. The two were arrested, while the prime suspect is believed to have fled to Serbia.
Dusan Cupac, who is the citizen of the republic of Serbia, is related to Darijo Cupac.
