President Mesic thinks the statement of the head of the chamber of commerce, Nadan Vidosevic, is only his personal opinion.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Croatian President Stjepan Mesic said on Thursday that the statement by the president of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, Nadan Vidosevic, that Coatia would exit the economic crisis in ten years, was merely Vidosevic’s personal opinion.
Asked if the government was doing everything to get Croatia out of the crisis, Mesic said:
- The government evidently did not do everything because otherwise we wouldn’t be in the crisis in which we are now.
The president also believes it would be pretentious of him to instruct the government about how to exit the crisis.
The Croatian Chamber of Commerce on Thursday suggested 15 measures to sooth the crisis in Croatia, of which the first are decreasing expenditures from the government and local budgets by ten percent and directing those funds towards the economy.
At the session, Nadan Vidosevic said that Croatia would need a decade to exit the crisis and that whoever denies this Is lying.
