Serb President Boris Tadic has expressed expectations that the authoritative Croatian institutions will punish the vandals.
Serbian President Boris Tadic expressed his concern on Tuesday over the destruction of Serb returnees` property in the vicinity of Zadar. He pointed out that the Croatian authorities must secure all Serbs who have returned and who are to return to their homes, it was announced from the president’s office.
-These incidents cause a sense of non-safety and do not contribute to solving problems of refugees- Tadic said, who expects that “authoritative Croatian institutions will discover and punish the vandals so that the return process can be continues in the best possible way”.
During the night from Saturday to Sunday, unknown perpetrators have damaged six homes in the Zadar area, owned by Serb returnees to Croatia.
