President Mesic sent a welcoming message to the new president of the United States of America, in which he congratulated him on his duty.
ZAGREB, CROATIA - The president of Croatia Stjepan Mesic congratulated the new 44th president of America, Barack Obama on Tuesday night, wishing him success in his work, reported the Croatian president’s office.
President Mesic sent a welcoming message to Barack Obama with the best wishes for success in carrying out the responsible job for the benefit of citizens of the USA and the world.
In his message, president Mesic voiced his faith in the continuation of the successful development of Croatian-American relations, it says in the report.
Barack Obama swore an oath at the ceremonial inauguration on the steps of the American Congress in Washington, and became the 44th president of the United States of America, and became the first African-American in that duty, in the 232 year history of that nation.
