Prime Minister Meets With German Demo-Christians

Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader spoke with the delegation of Croatia`s path of becoming a full EU and NATO member and reforms.

Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader spoke with the delegation of Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union club representatives from the Lower Saxony province in German Bundestag on Wednesday of Croatia`s path of becoming a full European Union and NATO member, as well as reforms which the Croatian government is implementing and the support of Germany, it was announced from the government’s PR office.

Enak Ferlemann, president of the province group of Lower Saxony representatives in the German Parliament headed the Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union club representatives from the Lower Saxony.

Croatian Prime Minister spoke with the German delegation of Croatia`s path of becoming a full European Union and NATO member, as well as reforms which the Croatian government is implementing and the support of Germany to Croatia when it comes to Euro-Atlantic integrations, the government`s announcement states.

Prime Minister Sanader presented achieved results in negotiations over the accession to the EU and thanked Germany for its support, which is now presiding the EU, for speeding up negotiations.

Processes of European integrations and the development of Croatian-German relations in both countries are a supra-party issue. This is why rich co-operation is important on all levels of Croatian and German policy and economy, it is added in the announcement.

Enak Ferlemann pointed out that German Demo-Christians are impressed with Croatian progress over the course of past years and concluded that exactly these results were the reason of Germany`s powerful support to Croatia accessing the EU in 2009.
