Acclaimed physicist says that the main problem with Croatia is HDZs negative selection.
- Croatia needs 100,000 networked experts to get it out of the crisis - said Davor Pavuna, physicist who presented his vision of Croatia’s development at the meeting of the Croatian Association of Managers and Entrepreneurs (CROMA).
Recognized scientist explained that Croatia must turn to new technologies and assist in linking Croats in the country, as well as abroad, into a network that will create a fertile ground for business initiatives.
He is convinced that Croatia has individuals who would be able to create some of the strongest global brands like Google and Apple. He also asks the government to create a strong national bank and provide everyone in the country with free wireless internet.
‘Sanader was a bluff’
- Problem with Croatia is a negative selection that was systematically carried out by the HDZ party. Former Prime Minister, Sanader, was a bluffer who cheated on you for 10 years - said Pavuna, accusing the former Prime Minister of negative selection and criticizing the current authorities for creating a mediocre system.
Vladimir Ferdelji, CROMA President, also spoke about the crisis and said that the general economic crisis was caused by a system based on consumption.
He stressed that we spent half of what we inherited and what we earned, adding that we are in a 40 billion debt. The second area that he talked about was the institutional and organizational crisis that manifests itself in excessive and inefficient public administration.
- The primary system values should be work and knowledge while incompetence and excess of personal interest should be elimininated - Ferdelji said.
