Tonci Tadic reespondos to Premier Sanader’s accusations, asking him where his manners are.
At Saturday’s ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party assembly, Prime Minister Ivo Sanader suggested that television cameras should not film everything, because, he said, the opposition would drop out of the elections in November when they saw how many people had turned up for the assembly.
Sanader used the hall filled with his political peers for criticism against both right-wing and left-wing parties.
He recalled a statement by a member of the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP), Tonci Tadic, who had said that land on the island of Hvar should be returned to the Church, in accordance with a signed agreement.
-- Tadic is talking as if lecturing, as if he was a bishop. He says, you have not returned anything to us. What do you, Tadic, have to do with the Church? – Sanader wondered.
But, Tadic refused to stoop to that level of conversing because, he says, his manners would not let him.
-- Sanader should have a better look at the agreement signed with the Holy See. I do not take offence, but my message to him is that he should better prepare for the next parliamentary discussion. – Tadic told us.
Tomislav Karamarko – is there a reason why we should be afraid of him?
