HDZ does not tell people the truth, and shows things the way they are not, and from that they try to gain political profits, said Milanovic.
The president of SDP (Social Democratic party), Zoran Milanovic, addressed all of those who are trying to divide Croatia, saying that the dividing is over.
- we consider that a vote for HSP (Croatian party of Rights) is a vote for HSP, and that a vote for HNS (Croatian People’s Party) is a vote for HNS. However, a vote for HDZ is a vote for another four years of deception, corruption, disrespect and lack of vision, and that a vote for SDP is a vote for all of us, for the deceased Ivica Racan, and for those who know how to lead this country honestly and responsibly – said Milanovic at the party meeting in Koprivnica.
“HDZ does not tell the truth to the people”
He said that HDZ does not tell people the truth and that they show things the way that they are not, in an attempt to gain political profit, giving the example of shares of T-HT, and Ina, and how they are trying to be interpreted.
- We welcome the sale of shares to the Croatian citizens, and we want to encourage this, but not to create a community of illusions. We want to advise that work is what is most profitable, and is what has raised us through the generations, and is the only thing that will raise us today, and into the future – he said.
As far as capital gains tax is concerned, about what everyone in Croatia is talking about, Milanovic said that this is justice which the people in Croatia deserve – not to steal from anybody, or to push somebody back or de-stimulate them, but to contribute to the community.
- If a worker at a checkout in a mall who earns two thousand kuna per month, is not paid overtime for working Sundays, then all we ask is that those who have earned a lot more in a lot less time also contribute one small part – said Milanovic. He also rejected the allegations that SDP wants to return Croatia into socialism with their economic program.
Jurcic: The cult of not working is developing in Croatia.
Ljubo Jurcic, SDP’s candidate for premier, evaluated that the cult of not working is developing in Croatia.
- Solutions for a better life without working are being offered, and the illusion that we can live better, and not work, by selling the accumulated national treasures and by loans said Jurcic.
He said that this dangerous politics for the future of Croatia.
The value that work creates needs to become the basis for the better life of an individual, and the efficient functioning of companies – said Jurcic.
