Today’s intensive search for the missing pilots of the Cessna, who went missing five days ago, did not give any results.
Not even after today’s intensive search were rescue workers able to locate the missing Cessna aircraft and members of its crew.
The search party are searching from the air and ground. An MI 8 helicopter spent nearly eight hours in the air recording Velebit mountain, more precisely the Vagan peak, and the Vagan valley, where yesterday at a height of 1,250 meters, papers from the plane were found which were instructions for the pilot’s headphones.
Besides searching from a helicopter, the air search was done from an even higher altitude from a Piper aircraft, which has the ability to record in quality. Tonight recordings from both aircraft are being analysed, and the ones from the Piper are being sent to Zagreb.
Members of the intervention, basic and special police, as well as members of the HGSS (Croatian mountain rescue service) searched the terrain all day, but they did not find any new evidence or traces concerning the missing aircraft and members of its crew.
According to the operations headquarters in the Zadar police department, maybe an analysis of the recordings taken from the air will reveal some lead to the location where the plane fell.
The search will continue tomorrow, and the direction of the search could be determined by analysing the recordings made from the air.
