Parliament President dismisses speculation that HDZ is considering parliamentary elections in February 2008.
Seks looked back on Croatian People`s Party (HNS) Club representative Dragutin Lesar`s statement how election law changes are unconstitutional, explaining how the constitutional deadline for the elections is 60 days after the current parliament mandate completion, which is February 20th 2008.
-We have four opposition proposals of election laws and they will be discussed by the 20th of February of the current year- announced Seks.
He said that the solution of distance voting is seriously being considered and how implementation of such an institute is considered as well, which exists in six European countries.
-A large number of Croatian citizens reside outside the country so there are great technical problems so the final decision has not yet been made- said the parliament president.
He added how there must be no discrimination of voters so distance voting would also refer to voters from Bosnia-Herzegovina, as well as Serbs who had fled the country.
