Serbia's Letter To Croatia

Serbia is asking Croatia to stop the campaign against the verdict dismissing Serbia's responsibility for the genocide in Bosnia.

Serbia sent a letter to Croatia, asking the country to stop the campaign against the verdict of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) which dismissed Serbia's responsibility for the genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reproaching Croatia by saying that the country's genocide against Serbs in World War II in the Independent State of Croatia (NDH) had not been condemned, reports Jutarnji list in the Saturday edition. 

The newspaper writes that, in the diplomatic letter sent at the start of the week, Serbian government officially protested the "illegitimate and not well-meaning" campaign in Croatia following the ICJ verdict acquitting Serbia of the responsibility for the genocide in B-H, asking Zagreb to stop the campaigns of those seeking a revision of the verdict.     

"A few decades back, when a systematic, state genocide was committed against Serbs, Jews, and Roma in the area that currently belongs to Croatia and B-H, there was not even the legal possibility of a trial for genocide," Jutarnji list cites the warning from the letter sent by the Serbian Foreign Ministry.

Vuk Draskovic's Ministry, the newspaper states, concluded that, in the course of the recent wars in the former Yugoslavia, Serbia was the only place where there were protests "against war and crime" and that no one who has good intentions can equate Serbia with the Serbian regime at the time.
