ZAGREB, CROATIA – Mother of murdered Ivana Hodak, Ljerka Mintas-Hodak expressed doubts several days ago that suspect Mladen Slogar actually killed her daughter. Still, Mintas-Hodak said she has accepted the results of the police investigation, but the story still has missing pieces.

Her husband Zvonimir Hodak shares her opinion, who pointed out in a conversation with Javno news site that the case was full of illogic details and divergences.

Until it is proved otherwise, I believe the current results of the police investigation. The story has some missing pieces, but I hope all suspicion will disappear when the process against Slogar is started. month before charges are raised for severe homicide out of ruthless retaliation.

The most famous homeless man in Croatia, as the media dubbed him several times,  became an endless topic of many conversations. Most citizens expressed doubt n Slogar`s guilt, while the police, on the contrary, claim and convince everyone that the “Hodak case” has been solved. Croatian Interior Minister Tomislav Karamarko defended the police this weekend, saying that there is no doubt that the killer has been arrested, which is supported by evidence, according to him.

- I leave a distance and a possibility of critically perceiving this case, however when the court process against Slogar starts, everything will be much clearer – Hodak said in the end.
