Hina's new director, Smiljana Skugor Hrncevic, took office after the New Year.
The new director of the Croatian News Agency, Hina, was elected by the agency’s Steering Board on October 12 for a stint of four years, but took office on Tuesday.
Skugor was born in the central Adriatic town of Sibenik and has been an employee of Hina since its founding in1990.
The agency’s former director, Mirko Bolfek, whose mandate ended on December 31, has taken an ambassadorial position in Algeria.
