Stories About Kosor's Dismissal Are Unfounded

Text

HDZ's relations with HDSS are critical because of Jadranka Kosor, but also with HSLS because of the Law on working Sundays.

In spite of the recent differences with their coalition partners, the Croatian Social-Liberal Party (HSLS) and Independent Democratic Serbian Party (SDSS), one of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) leaders, Vladimir Seks, claims that his party still has the Parliament majority.

We will overcome the differences with HSLS

In the last several days, Milorad Pupovac and Djurdja Adlesic came down on the party in power. Pupovac did it because of the Government Vice-President Jadranka Kosor, her apartment in Seferova, and the way she had obtained it, while Djurdja Adlesic did it over the Law on working Sundays, because she did not get the support of HDZ.

- I do not expect there to be a problem with the parliament majority. When it comes to HSLS, differences will be overcome when the bill enters the third reading stage – said HDZ president, confident that he would have Adlesic's support.

On the other hand, Pupovac made the statements that Jadranka Kosor should "spare the public dignity from her appearance" and that the Vice-President should resign over the immoral way in which she had obtained her apartment.

"Pupovac will not start either a formal or informal initiative"

- We have been over this topic already. Milorad Pupovac will not start either a formal or informal initiative in regard to the Government's Vice-President's status – said Seks.

He points out that, to the extent of his knowledge, the manner in which Kosor got her apartment was beyond legal reproach and in accordance with laws and other regulations.

- There is no basis for the speculation that Jadranka Kosor has or does not have only the support of individuals in HDZ. The support was also expressed by the Ministry of Defence, so that the speculation that the party wants to get rid of her, too, is unfounded. The same as it was in my case – he concluded.
