Television Director Not in Conflict of Interest

The Croatian Radio-Television has documents indicating that the new director sold his shares in ON-AIR and ROBAGO companies.

After recent media speculations about an alleged conflict of interest of the new director of the Croatian Television, Robert Sveb, the Croatian Radio Television (HRT) issued a statement for the media.

The HRT possesses all the necessary documentation (contracts on business shares, a public notary verification and a Commercial Court decision) proving that Sveb already sold his shares in the ON-AIR and ROBAGO companies and that neither himself nor members of his family have none of their shares, the statement reads.

The HRT requested and received the documents from Sveb at the end of 2005 as a condition for his employment at the HRT. The documents can be easily verified both in the said companies and competent institutions, the HRT said.
